Great dine and wine. It was unexpected surprise that we found in mt barker. It was one of the wineries that offer lunch. The location and the decoration is very warm and welcoming. Their 2008 Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon are must not miss. As we are in Mt Barker its obvious that 2 of us ordered the chicken breast which present prefect and beautifully.
Top shelf. Visited Windrush recently on a weekend getaway in Mount Barker visiting my sister and brother in law.
The location and ambiance are first class. Service and quality were what you would expect in a good restaurant.
We started with a tasting plate to share and all four of us had a different main, mine being the garlic prawns. The prawns were cooked perfectly and the sugar peas and asparagus had a lovely crunch.
I did not have desert but the others all enjoyed theirs.
We shared a bottle of Rose with the meal and all left very happy.
None of the wines disappointed with my wife loving the Rose. For someone who rarely drinks white wine and avoids Chardonay completely I was quite fond of the 2009 Chardonay and we left with a half dozen of each and a couple of all the others.
This was a wonderful Sunday lunch before heading back to Perth.
